Epiphone的历史
详细介绍：
1873年，17岁的Epaminondas（简写为Epd）被父亲带到他的工厂里，帮忙制造乐器。1915年Epaminondas将自已的小名同希腊字母组合，于是第一件印有Epiphone标志的乐器就诞生了。
　　19世纪30年代，吉它成为主要的弦乐器，Gibson同Epiphone在管弦乐器及爵士吉它方面展开了激烈的竞争。在第二次世界大战期间，Epiphone倒闭了，它在战前所创造的卓越成就也随之成为过去。
　　若干年后，Gibson的母公司Chigaro Musical Instrument收购了Epiphone，使之成为Gibson子公司。1958年，Gibson在Michigan的Kalamazoo重建了Epiphone生产线，所生产的乐器很快就成为了Epiphone重建信誉及荣耀。
　　也许Epiphone品质的最好证明是在1965年，一个叫做“Beatles”的摇滚乐队购买了三把Epiphone Casino，在1970年Beatles解散之前，他们用Casino录制了许多经典的歌曲，包括“Paperback Writer”及“Ticket to ride”，在他们的1966年美国的一次巡回演出中，他们同样使用了Casino。
　　另外，Paul Mccartney购买了一把Epiphone Texan箱琴，就是用这把箱琴，他录制了那首经典的《Yesterday》。
　　今天，位于Nashville的Epiphone总部，是世界上最大的有品弦乐器生产商，生产范围包括箱琴、电箱两用琴、电琴、箱贝司、电贝司等。除了琴之外，他们还有音箱等，没有其他生产商可以比Epiphone提供更好的及更多的选择。

The Return of a NEW Classic!

When the Nighthawk was first introduced in 1993, it represented a departure from "tradition" with its 25.5" scale length and its versatile combination of coil-tappable humbucker and single coil pickups. Break-through designs don't always catch on right away. Such was the case with many now-iconic guitars including the Flying-V, the Explorer and even the Les Paul. Now, 18 years later, guitarists who originally dismissed the Nighthawk as too "different," now recognize what a great guitar it really was and still is! Great Tonewoods & Premium Construction! The design of the Nighthawk is essentially a combination of an SG (with a lower bout and thinner body) and a Les Paul (upper bout). Like those classic guitars, the Nighthawk features a solid mahogany body (with added "belly" scarf for comfort) and a glued-in SlimTaper™ 25 1/2" scale mahogany neck for a well rounded, warm tone with excellent sustain. The headstock is back-angled at 14 degrees, which increases pressure on the strings and helps them stay firmly in nut slots. To add brilliance as well as a smooth, durable playing surface, the Nighthawk Custom is fitted with a rosewood fingerboard, a favorite of serious guitar players for its resistance to wear.
